{"id":568,"date":"2018-02-11T05:02:31","date_gmt":"2018-02-11T05:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/?post_type=jetpack-portfolio&#038;p=568"},"modified":"2022-07-27T04:03:37","modified_gmt":"2022-07-27T04:03:37","slug":"philosophy-consulting-logo","status":"publish","type":"jetpack-portfolio","link":"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/?portfolio=philosophy-consulting-logo","title":{"rendered":"Philosophy Consulting Logo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Challenge<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.philosophyconsulting.com\/\">Philosophy Consulting<\/a>, a start-up that helps businesses with corporate strategy, needed an identity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Process<br \/>\n<\/strong>I interviewed my client to gain a better understanding of what his business does and where he hopes his firm will be in the future. I learned that Philosophy Consulting works with other businesses to develop strategies that help them accomplish corporate goals. What sets the firm apart from other consultants is a critical thinking and analysis approach to solve complex business challenges. My client liked the idea of incorporating a nautilus shell into the design. Its infinite golden ratio spiral seemed like a fitting symbol for the firm\u2019s philosophy.<\/p>\n<p><em>My work always starts with paper and pencil. These are some sketches and ideas I had for logo designs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-298 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sketches.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"827\" height=\"620\" srcset=\"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sketches.jpg 827w, http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sketches-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 827px) 100vw, 827px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>I narrowed my sketches down to three designs that I felt were the strongest in concept. I created the three logos in Adobe Illustrator and presented them to the client.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-296 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/3_logo_designs1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"827\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/3_logo_designs1.jpg 827w, http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/3_logo_designs1-300x137.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 827px) 100vw, 827px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nThe Result<br \/>\n<\/strong>The final logo ended up being a combination of two designs. The client thought the nautilus shell within the yin yang symbol was really eye-catching. He was also fond of the typography I used in another design concept, so we incorporated both into the final design.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-268 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/PC_logo_wBorder.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"792\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/PC_logo_wBorder.jpg 792w, http:\/\/danamariadesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/PC_logo_wBorder-300x90.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 792px) 100vw, 792px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Philosophy Consulting identity has since grown into a Facebook and LinkedIn page connecting the company to other businesses in need of their services.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I was very impressed with Dana&#8217;s ability to draw out my requirements and design goals while creating a logo for my consulting firm.
